REGISTERED MINI DONKEYS

Howdy

ABOUT US

Diamond C Farms came into existence in 2016 when we made the decision to leave the city and buy land in the country. After five years of marriage, a dog and a daughter we decided it was time to take the plunge into country-living!

Our love for miniature donkeys was something we stumbled upon. We always thought they were cute, as so many people would agree, but the more we learned about their breed and interacted with them the more we absolutely fell in love with them and decided to jump into raising minis and micros.

How we came up with the name "Diamond C:"  Cassie's paternal grandfather, Norman Eldon Threadgill, had an extensive history in the cattle, livestock and auctioneering industry. For his distinguishable brand he chose the diamond 'T'. He is no longer with us, but his influence (and fast talking) lives on through Diamond C.

About Will and Cassie Carpenter: Will "Willie" Carpenter was born and raised in Joshua, TX. He was active in FFA and showed sheep throughout high school. His "claim to fame" was that he was the first Joshua student to "get on the dirt" with his show sheep at the Fort Worth Stockshow. Cassie (Threadgill) Carpenter was raised in Robinson, TX - a small suburb of Waco. As mentioned earlier, her grandfather was always heavily involved in the cattle business - raising them and auctioning them off -  and her maternal grandfather had a ranch with a variety of animals from peacocks to sheep to (you guessed it) donkeys! One of her most favorite memories of that ranch was when her dad attempted to ride one of the standard-size, wild donkeys. Let's just say the video would win on Americas Funniest Videos!

Today we are so happy to be living out dream in the country raising beautiful daughters, several dogs, donkeys and chickens.

Our love for miniature donkeys was something we stumbled upon. We always thought they were cute, as so many people would agree, but the more we learned about their temperament, history and interacted with them the more we absolutely fell in love! So, we bought 3 minis and our obsession grew from there!

We met through mutual friends and after two years of dating were married in 2011. We love to travel, ski/snowboard, wakeboard, and brainstorm ways to improve our farm and home.

Today we are so happy to be living our dream in the country raising beautiful daughters, several dogs, donkeys and chickens.

At Diamond C Farms we maintain an intimate, high-quality herd on 5.5 acres. By keeping our herd small we are better able to imprint on the foals and interact with the donkeys on a daily basis, thus, ensuring our animals grow up to be social, personable extensions of the family.

All of our foals are registered with the ADMS and will be for sale, so please check our social media sites frequently for up-to-date photos and information.
